What if my clothes get damaged?

Do I have to clean them?

The borrowing fee has already included the cleaning fee so you can nicely place them back in the package and return them to us. We encourage you to air them out after each wear, most items do not need to be fully washed after each wear but if you need to clean them during your borrowing period please check the care instruction and follow it strictly or get in touch with our team so we can assist you.

Will the dresses need to be pressed upon arrival?

We do our best to ensure your dresses arrive wrinkle-free. Each dress is steamed and pressed before being sealed in plastic and placed in a garment bag. If you receive a dress with slight creases, please try steaming the garment on low heat or contact a stylist for advice.

How long can I keep the collection?

Each borrow allows 4 weeks for you to enjoy the items on your own time. As you will be borrowing a collection not an item we want you to mix and match all the items that either on their own or with your own wardrobe. We want to allow time for you to be creative with your outfits and use them a few time before returning them to us.

What happens if I damage or lose the items?

Because peace-of-mind is important, whenever a member shares their wardrobe, each item borrowed will include insurance, added as a percentage of the fee. We understand that some wear and tear may be inevitable, the fee covers minor stains and damage. However, significant damage and theft aren't covered under insurance. If the item is damaged beyond repair or never returned, the fee is the retail price of the item.

What happens if I return my order late?

Unfortunately, late orders have a domino effect. When you return something late, it means the next person who was planning on wearing that style no longer can. In order to ensure all of customers have an exceptional experience (with an on-time delivery), a late fee of $50 per day will be charged to the credit card you used for the order (or to any other credit card included on your account). You will be charged up to 100% of the retail value of the products you ordered.

How do I know if garments will fit?

We know, fit can be nerve-wracking. We suggest you look at the style and branding for size reference if you are unsure please get in touch with our stylist team. Each capsule collections are carefully curated to fit the same size and body shape but on the off chance none of the items fit, we'll do everything we can to get you a replacement style. Please get in touch within the first 2 days after you have received your items.

Where do the items come from?

Each piece you borrow from Coclo is lent to us by a fellow fashion lover. Curated from the wardrobes of stylists, influencers and your style sisters, the items in our collections are a mixture of up-and-coming designers, iconic labels and one-of-a-kind vintage finds. Much like your own wardrobe, ours is also a mixture of new-ish, lightly-loved and treasured pieces borrowed from our lenders. They share more, so you can wear more.

Do I have to clean them?

No need to worry about washing what you wear! A cleaning fee is included when you borrow so you can return them to us and we take care of it for you. To keep all your pieces fresh, we encourage you to air them out after each wear. If you absolutely need to clean them during your borrowing period, please follow the care instructions on the tag or get in touch with our team so we can assist you.

What happens if I damage or lose the items?

We get it, a bit of wear and tear might happen. That's why we include/add an insurance fee in/onto the price to cover $100 worth of minor stains and damage. However, significant damage and theft aren't covered under insurance. To give our lenders peace-of-mind, if the item is damaged beyond repair or never returned, the fee is the agreed value of the item according to the lending T&C. The value of an item is displayed on each collection.

What happens if I return my order late?

Being ghosted is the worst. Especially when your date was supposed to be with that perfect dress you’ve been dreaming about for weeks. That’s why we have a late return policy. Because while returning a collection a day or two late might not seem like a big deal, it has knock-on effects for the next person who was planning on wearing that collection. To make sure our collections always arrive on the intended delivery date, a late fee of $50 per day will be charged to the credit card you used for the order or to another card linked to your account.

Will the dresses need to be pressed upon arrival?

Wouldn’t we all love to be wrinkle-free? But alas, sometimes despite all our efforts, they just sneak up on us. We always aim to make sure your items arrive wrinkle-free. By steaming and pressing your items before carefully packaging them and sending them on their way, we hope they arrive in ready to wear condition. If they do show up a bit creased, try giving the item a low-heat steam or contact our stylist team for advice at hello@wearecoclo.com

How do I know if garments will fit?

We know, fit can be nerve-wracking. If you are unsure about how a certain style or brand will fit, please get in touch with our stylist team. While each capsule collection is carefully curated to fit the same size and body shape, on the off chance some or none of the items fit, we'll do everything we can to get you a replacement style. Please get in touch within the first two days of receiving your items, and we will work with you to find a suitable alternative.

How long can I keep the collection?

It's all yours for five weeks. Whether you want to make the most of the collection's pre-styled outfit options or mix and match each piece with favourites from your own wardrobe - there's plenty of ways to make the most of your time with a collection before you send it back to us.

Can I return them before 5 weeks?

Yes, you can. If you are ready to return before the due date of the collection you've borrowed, please put all the items back in the return package, drop them off at the post office and send us the details of your early return.

Can I extend the borrowing period?

Yes! For an additional borrow fee of $30 per week, you can hold onto your collection (unless the collection is reserved). Please let us know at least seven days before your original return date so we can update your borrow status.

Can I get a refund?

Absolutely! You can cancel the order 12 hours before shipping to get a full refund. If you have an unworn collection that you'd like to return early, send it back to us within seven days of receiving it, and we can offer you either a full refund or a credit note. To be eligible for this refund or credit note, all items must be unworn and in the same condition with tags attached.
